artist statement

We are all human beings. How we showcase different communities and cultures can either connect or segregate us from one another. Through my art, I choose to connect people to others around the world.

Big or small, I want to contribute towards positive social change. I do this through digital storytelling.

ethnography: a visual journal

Below is a display of my documentary videography & photography work from around the United States & around the world.

This work would not have been possible without the connection & collaboration with all of the humans

on & off camera who were a part of these projects. It is their stories that motivate me to continue my work as a documentary artist.

plant friends

I am deepy connected to plants. More recently, I’ve been exploring herbology and herbal medicine, virtually and locally in Chicago. With the connections I’ve made in my learnings, I’ve been inspired to build more inentional connections between my human friends with my plant friends.

Plant Friends is a place for our curiosity and inspiration to blossom with our neighbohood plants.

honoring the bearfish

In 2018, I moved to San Francisco, teamed up with my friend Sam Huff, and together we founded Bearfish Productions. Our work lived at the confluence of documentary, environmentalism, and music. Although Bearfish went to rest in 2024, I’m so thankful for the client-based and original work we were able to produce.
