A Tree Is More Than One Branch

The Single Story Phenomenon explains that if a single-sided story about a culture is over told to the general public, then they will only see that culture in one-dimension.

Set in Aux Cayes, Haiti, A Tree Is More Than One Branch is a compilation of short documentary films, with each film following a different Haitian family or activity.

These ethnographic videos will allow the viewer to know more about Haiti, aside from the 2010 earthquake. Similar to a tree that has many branches, a person is more than one story, and a culture is more than a historic tragedy.

This series has screened in multiple cities around the US. "Manman yo ki fe biznis" has screened in Nambi International Film Festival (Atlanta, GA) and Ethnografilm Festival (Paris, France).
